Colin's Final service

Sunday 30th August saw or minister Colin Johnston leading his final service with us. People from Cheviot Churches and Kelso Old+Sprouston gather in Yetholm (see photo above) to celebrate Colin's seven year stint with us - a time of sadness, thankfulness but also (as Colin emphasised) hope. After the service there was an abundance of food to share - many thanks to Susan Stewart who organised this and who also led a tribute at the end of the service.
   More photographs can be seen below - including Colin clutching the cushion made for him by the Craft Group, which he will no doubt put to good use when he puts his feet up in distant Ayr!
    Actually the final-final service led by Colin was in informal communion in Linton Kirk which took place on Sunday evening. Linton kirk, a favourite of Colin's, also features on a plaque which was presented to him by Simon Oldham (also shown below - click on each image to see a full version).
