2nd sunday of Lent

This Saturday, 15th March, we will host a performance of the ‘Upper Room’, a multimedia presentation with music, image and words of Jesus’ last week by Christian Stejskal. It will be at Yetholm Kirk at 6.30pm. Christian has been violinist in major orchestras and has presented his work at the Edinburgh Festival, and it should be a tremendous evening, so please come along and bring your friends. Free entry, but donations welcome.

We welcome everyone to our services at Yetholm (10am) and Morebattle (11.15) on 2nd Sunday of Lent. During this service Colin will outline the details of our linkage with Kelso Old & Sprouston.

• Craft Group meets on Mondays at 2pm in Yetholm
  
• Coffee and chat at Yetholm Kirk on Tuesdays from 10.30 -12 noon. All welcome.
• Prayer Service is on Tuesdays at 12 noon in Yetholm
• Lent Study Group meets on Thursday at 10.30am at the Rustads’ house, Yetholm Hall. All welcome.
• There will be a guided walk around Old Melrose to mark St Cuthbert’s Day on Thursday 20th May at 2pm.
• The Guild Coffee morning will be held on Saturday 29th March in Morebattle Institute from 10.30am.
• Next Sunday there will be a united service at 11am in Morebattle. The Moderator, Rt Rev Dr Shaw Paterson, will preach. There will also be infant  baptism. There will be lunch afterwards.

The Lord is our light and our salvation:

Weekly Prayer
Lord, I believe, help thou, my unbelief! You spoke to your servant Abram telling him not to be afraid; to use you as his shield; and to expect a great reward.  When during the coming weeks of Lent I am discouraged by my weakness, give me confidence in your love. Help me through to the glories of Easter so that I can say "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord". Amen
