Advent 4

Welcome to our services at Yetholm (10am) and Morebattle (11.15) on 4th Sunday of Advent.
·       A service of lessons and carols will be held in Morebattle this Sunday (22nd) at 3pm. Followed by mulled wine/ tea.
·       Retiring Offering at our Christmas services will be for the work of Crossreach.
·       Christmas Eve is on Tuesday, and there will be our carol service at Hownam at 6pm and our Watchnight service at Linton at 11.30pm.
·       United Christmas Day service will be at 10am at Yetholm.
·       We are saddened by the death of Bill Thomson, elder and former Session Clerk. His thanksgiving service will be on Wednesday 8th January at 1.30pm at Morebattle Kirk.
·       There will be no craft group or coffee morning or prayer service over the festive period.
·       Next Sunday our services will be at Yetholm (10am) and Morebattle (11.15), and will be led by Trish Gentry
·       Rev Colin wishes everyone a very blessed Christmas and kind wishes for 2025.

Everlasting God, we share today with Mary and Elizabeth their love and joy as the waiting for Jesus’s birth nears its end. Quieten our hearts and lives so that we can hear your voice amongst the hustle and bustle of everyday life as Christmas approaches. Lord Jesus be our peace, we pray. Amen
