pentecost 12+ - united service

We welcome everyone to our United Service at Yetholm on Sunday where, as Cheviot Churches, we are joined by Kelso Old & Sprouston. Please stay for refreshments after the service. We remind visitors to sign the Visitors’ Book. Also remember to check the News section of the website, where there are a couple of new posts.
  • Coffee and chat at Yetholm Kirk on Tuesdays from 10.30 -12 noon. All welcome.
  • Prayer Service is on Tuesdays at 12 noon in Yetholm
  • There will be a joint Kirk Session meeting with Kelso Old & Sprouston on Tuesday 2nd September at 7pm at Kelso Old.
  • Colin will be at the Roxburgh Hall on Wednesdays between 10.30 and 12 noon.
  • Corbet Tower will be open under the Scottish Garden Scheme on Saturday 6th September from 2-5pm. Tea and cake available. Proceeds to Cheviot Churches.
  • Cheviot Churches Coffee morning on Wednesday 10th September at 10.30am at Wauchope Hall, Town Yetholm.
  • We will host an Indian visitor on the weekend of 12-14th September and Rev Muriel Pearson, minister at Tiberias, on Sunday 21st September, which will include a potluck lunch at the manse.
  • Thanks to all who donate to the Foodbank. It is short of the following: tins of meat, vegetables (tin) Potatoes (tin), jam, cereal, jars of pasta sauce, desserts.
Next Sunday we have our services at 10am at Linton (Trish) and Yetholm (Rev Colin) and at 11.30am at Sprouston (Rev Colin).

Almighty God, as we worship together here in our joint service today, we pray for your churches in Cheviot, Kelso Old and Sprouston.   We ask for your blessing on our work as we seek to create a church community that welcomes the stranger, provides a refuge for those who feel threatened or alone and a place where everyone feels that they belong. Amen

  • Tonight at 6pm we have a Songs of Praise at Kirk Yetholm Green. Come along. There will be some seats but bring along a chair if you have one.

We welcome everyone to our services for the 9th Sunday after Pentecost at Morebattle and Yetholm, both at 10am. Rev Colin is at Morebattle and Tom Burnham at Yetholm. There will be refreshments after the service at Yetholm. Visitors are requested to put their names in the Visitors Book.

  • Prayer Service is on Tuesdays at 12 noon in Yetholm
  • A group from Sweden walking St Cuthbert’s way are overnighting in Yetholm this Thursday and wish to interact with us. Anyone wanting to meet them, please come to Yetholm Kirk about 7.30pm.
  • We will hold a Songs of Praise at Kirk Yetholm Green on Sunday 24th August at 6pm. If anyone has any favourite hymn that they would like sung, please let Colin, Arthur or Debbie know.
  • Jean Reynolds is walking the Dundee Kiltwalk (Shorter route) raising money for Motor Neurone Disease. If you wish to sponsor her, her form is at the back of Yetholm Church.
