Welcome to our services for the 11th Sunday after Pentecost, which are at Yetholm (led by Arthur Bates) and at Morebattle (led by Rev Colin), both at 10am.
Notices:

• Coffee and chat at Yetholm Kirk on Tuesdays from 10.30 -12 noon. All welcome.
• The Prayer Service meets on Tuesdays at 12 noon at Yetholm Kirk.
• Bill Halliday’s funeral service will be on Thursday 13th August at 12 noon at Kelso Old.
• Simon and Colin walked round the parish last Saturday. Many thanks to all who sponsored.
• Next Sunday we have a joint service for communion at Morebattle at 10am. No service at Yetholm.
  
• On Sunday 23rd we have a joint service at Kelso Old at 11am to remember Colin’s 40th anniversary of ordination.
  
• On Sunday 30th we have a joint service in Yetholm Kirk for Colin’s farewell service, again at 11am.

We seek God in the faces of family, friends, and neighbours.                                                                               
if God is in the face of your neighbour, what are you seeking?             
We seek God in the search and the work for peace and wholeness for all God’s creation.                                                               
As we gather today, may we meet God in our seeking and in our finding. Amen.

Weekly Prayer
God of peace, we thank you today for the comforting words of Jesus to "Take Courage!" and not to be afraid, as He rescues us from the troubled waters of our lives. We are comforted by your presence of mercy and grace, as we seek to share your love and the Good News that Jesus is our lifeboat. Guide our hearts and minds with the gift of divine peace as we face this coming week.  Amen.
