transfiguration sunday

Our services on Sunday are both at 10am at Morebattle (led by Debbie Brown) and Yetholm (led by Rev Colin) for Transfiguration Sunday. All are very welcome. There will be refreshments after the service at Yetholm.

• The Craft Group meets on Mondays at 2pm in Yetholm Kirk.
  
• Coffee and chat at Yetholm Kirk on Tuesdays from 10.30 -12 noon. All welcome.
• The Prayer Service meets on Tuesdays at 12 noon at Yetholm Kirk.
• Worship committee meets at Yetholm Kirk on Tuesday 17th February at 2pm.
• There will be a service for Ash Wednesday at Hoselaw Chapel on 18th February at 12 noon.
  
• A coffee morning for Christian Aid will be held at Morebattle Institute on Saturday 21st February from 10.30-12 noon. Baking appreciated, and there will be a box in both Yetholm and Morebattle for items for the Tombola.
  
• The Kirk Session meets at Morebattle on Monday 23rd Feb at 7pm.
  
• Articles for The Cheviot should be in by the end of the month.
  
• The Lent Study Group begins Thursday 26th February at 10.30am. Anyone interested in joining it, please speak to Arthur Bates.
  
• The Linton KIrk Heritage Association is working non-stop to raise funds to buy the building. Any contributions would be gratefully received. Please see flyers for details.
  
• Next Sunday we have a united communion service at Morebattle at 10 am. There will be no service at Yetholm.

Weekly Prayer
Holy God your Son Jesus was wonderfully transfigured in front of his disciples
high upon the holy mountain. No longer a secret, we proclaim to all that Jesus Christ is Lord.  In the week that lies before us may we reflect your love in our families, our church and our community; so that the world can see that we are transformed by Christ and thereby draw others into Jesus' loving care. Amen
